I might add the unexpected surprise of Rusty Truck opening in NYC. Our eyes lit up when Jakob confirmed it. Talk about a great bar band. We have seen him live a couple of times over the years and we always have a blast. I love hearing Mark's stories and Kristin singing back up. What a perfect way to end a mini road trip. Who knows maybe we will be treated to another record release party in NYC in July when the new Rusty Truck album comes out.

There are no other bunch of guys I would drive 8 hours from DC to Boston in a heat wave to see. We do it because of the songs, because of the unexpected everynight and simply because Jakob and Fred are both so damn nice and appreciative.

Jimmy , thanks for everything. The sound just keeps getting better and the changes in volume on the vocals are making them even more powerful. Thanks for the laughs and all the cold drinks. Don't forget we just may put you to work babysitting some night .

To my girls, it was a blast as always. Carrie girlfriend you stuck it out 7 months pregnant and through the heat. Sue thanks for all the food and cookies. We so stepped it up from 7 years ago when all we ate were mint skittles. Tep you will schelp anywhere to meet us and you never complain. Thanks for keeping me sane in the heat and fed while I was driving. 7 states in one day just maybe a record for us. By the way our harmonies are not so bad .

Jakob and Fred we will see you out on the road. Thanks for continuing to do what you guys do . It is always appreciated. Those smiles you see from us duiring the shows are heartfelt.

Love Evi, Carrie,Sue and Tep or the girls as we have now become known as.

I think the one thing the 4 of us kept saying to one another over the past 2 months of listening to the album is : We are just so proud of Jakob, it may sound corny but as we listened to the songs and the lyrics "it was damn he just blew us away again". After hearing these songs live for really the first time in DC ( philly the week before did not count) we were all saying afterwards to Jakob and Fred that we felt proud of everything Jakob had done and continues to do.

These songs are simple, clean , thought provoking, inspiring and intense. The intensity only grew stronger once we heard them live. We have all been going to see Jakob play live for 14 years now and in all that time this is the best his voice has ever sounded live. Fred , what can we say your playing just gets better and better , the new arrangements just add to the power of the song. At the same time your playing can be so quiet, just adding to the softness of the song leaving the intensity to come out in the lyric.

It is a shame that a lot of people who go to clubs to see bands perform go to socialize more than to hear the band. While all the chatter from behind us is frustrating and rude , Jakob you handeled it well and it does not hurt to tell them to be quiet once in a while. Thanks for giving them that lecture in DC.

Ok back to the music , I would love to hear this album live start to finish. It has a great flow .

All Day All night - what can I say I just love this song, it is a great sing a long song. It is just catchy and so damn accurate.

Evil is Alive - Freds drumming sounds great and the first line is just perfect and so true it is scary.

Something good this way comes - this song just makes me smile and think of the summer. It is very pretty live, it just makes you tap your foot.

This end of the telescope - beautiful guitar playing , one of my favorites live. Jakobs voice blew me away on this one.

The harmonies with George and Fred were so good.

Will it grow - beyond intense live, he sings his heart out on it.

War is kind - Dark , deep . Made everyone in the crowd listen and appreciate it.

Everybody pays as they go - catchy live, great rhythm.

On up the mountain - I will admit I love this song , have since day one and I freaking love it live. there is just something about hearing him sing " you won't abandon your masterpiece" . I Loved hearing him sing , " teach about that bright bright light". live , it was heartfelt .

The WF songs had a new feel with the arrangements. Closer to you was such a surprise, totally did not expect the jazz sound. The sing along of one headlight in DC was a unexpected fun surprise . My standout was Beautiful Side of Somewhere, I just fell in love with this song live again. It always made me a bit sad to hear it, but it fits in with the new songs and it really is just beautiful. I don't know but after 14 years we are all just " different now than when we started".

I don't know what got into Jakob on morning train but damn . I have heard a lot of versions of this song over the years and this one is my favorite. It is so strong that it just grabs you and says listen to what iam singing.

I am still dieing to hear " Valley of the low sun" , and "I told you I couldn't stop",
I know it has a lot of words.
